Patras, the capital town of the prefecture of Achaia is the most cosmopolitan, modern and much frequented town of the district of the Peloponnese. Being a major commercial, transporting and tourist center of the district, is also the third biggest town of the whole country of Greece.
Patra is divided in the regions Ano Poli and Kato Poli.
